FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are your boats located?
As of March 1, 2017 our boats are located side-by-side in slips #31 and #32 of Clearwater Municipal Marina, 25 Causeway Blvd, Clearwater Beach, FL 33767.
What’s the difference between the boats and how do I choose which one to charter?
Both the REEL DEAL and REEL DEAL II are 34 ft vessels that can accommodate all of your needs for a great day of fishing! The REEL DEAL boasts a large, open back deck along with plenty of covered seating and a downstairs drive-station for a more intimate experience with the captain. The REEL DEAL II is a newer vessel with more amenities including an enclosed cabin with A/C for those hot summer days. Many of our returning customers may also choose one or the other based on preference of captain. Click here for more details on the vessels and captains.
How many people can I bring on my charter?
Both the REEL DEAL and REEL DEAL II are licensed to carry up to 6 anglers.
What if I am a single person or a couple, how can I save some money and still get out fishing?
Booking a private charter will ensure that you get out fishing when you want to, but if we are open we may put a shared charter together. Our shared charters usually cost $125 cash per person for a half-day (4 hour trip) if we have 4 people signed up. Call or text Heather at 727-906-7749 and provide us with your name, number, the number of people you have, when you can go fishing, and any other preferences you may have and we will do our best to put you with other people! Private charters always take precedence to our shared trips.
What is included in the price of my fishing charter?
The price for your charter includes everything you need for fishing! All rods, reels, tackle, bait, licensing, and vessel amenities are included. Each boat has coast-guard approved number of adult and child life preservers. We are a full service fishing charter and will help with baiting and fish removal as needed. Our captains are experienced offshore fishermen out of Clearwater, Florida which means they know better than anyone where and how to catch fish! They will also fillet your catch when you return to the dock and have advice on how to transport or prepare your fish. They also know a few restaurants in the area that will cook your catch!
Are there any “hidden” fees not included in the charter price?
It is customary to tip the captain/crew if you enjoy your charter fishing experience (15-20% is standard). Parking may also cost around $6 per vehicle so we encourage carpooling!
What should I bring with me?
All you need to bring is whatever you want to eat or drink for the duration of the charter. We have ice and coolers on board you may keep any food and drink in – alcohol okay! Dress accordingly for the weather – layers are always great – and of course sunscreen (we are the Sunshine State afterall!)
